Should you find yourself short on time for an extended safari, this short 2-day safari may be just the right option for you. You get to experience the full safari magic on the fly in this extraordinary park with a huge concentration of elephants and the other group of big five wildlife; Lions Leopards, Buffalos and Cheetahs. Birdwatchers will not be disappointed either. The park is located at the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the second largest mountain in the world. Its backdrop to the free roaming wildlife is an unforgettable scene and adds to the magic of Amboseli National park.



Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

We will pick you up from your pick-up location or from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport early in the morning for the drive to Amboseli National Park, about 200 km to the south of Nairobi. During the drive, enjoy the changing landscapes from the lush green of Nairobi to the arid plains of Athi River and eventually the plains of Amboseli.

Lookout for the majestic glimpse of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the distance, signaling you’re the Park. Arrive in time for lunch. Take a much deserved rest in your appointed tent or room before your first game drive.

In the late afternoon, set out and explore the park’s abundant families of elephants marching before the scenic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. With the help of the experienced guide, track the lions, leopards, cheetahs among themultiple wildlife species that call the park home.

Return to the camp by late evening for refreshments and dinner.

Overnight at the safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 2

You get to start your game drive early today. A pre-dawn drive is the best time to see many carnivorous animals at their most active. Return to the camp for breakfast and check out. Enjoy another game drive as you exit the park. On a clear day, you might even see the snow-capped peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

For a different kind of Amboseli experience, you can participate in an optional cultural meet with the local Maasai people at their village. Your guide can easily arrange this. A 3 hour drive back to Nairobi will end with your drop off at your hotel or the International Airport.
